We are first-generation farmers.

We are first - generation farmers and modern is our way of farming the fields, in which productivity is much less important than ecological approach to preserving the land. This was my idea when I started studying agriculture. Born in a region converted into an “electrified-maize-cultivated desert”, my teachers were precisely the creator of the disaster that fed a whole country and freed it from the grips of famine (oh, the power of oxymoron!). At Cascina Belmonte we now grow thirteen different vine varieties, from which we make six different wines. These bottles enable me to maintain and improve the 20 hectares of the estate. In the next few years we will be venturing into unexplored territory in search of natural wine and a way of meeting the community’s needs. I interpret these needs, in a mono-chrome vision, as green areas rich in biodiversity- hedges for hungry eyes to run over, a table al fresco decked in local produce, nocturnal feast to celebrate the spring. And afterwards, part of the urban chaos will come to the countryside and part of the country’s quiet will go to town in the form of bottles of wine. A sort of encounter between man and nature, between environment and industry. A union to produce clean fruit, wine, an unspoilt environment and a salary for those involved in this joint venture.
